MISTRAL 3000E

MSE recognised that there was a need for a large capacity benchtop centrifuge without refrigeration. As a result of this, the Mistral 3000E was introduced. This is identical to the Mistral 3000i in all respects, including accessories and performance data, except that it has no refrigeration facility. Again, it represents excellent value for money as a large capacity sophisticated, yet easy to use, benchtop centrifuge.

MISTRAL 1000

The Mistral 1000 represents an economical and simpler to use alternative for the busy laboratory with a limited budget. The control panel has been simplified to encompass situations where non-technical staff may be required to use the centrifuge. All that is needed is to enter parameters of speed and time - nothing could be simpler.

The mainstay of the Mistral 1000 is the 4 x 100ml rotor with the appropriate 100ml trunnions and metal buckets. The 100ml metal buckets can be provided with optional sealing cap assemblies when centrifuging potentially hazardous samples. After use, the sealed buckets can be removed and opened in an appropriate safety cabinet thus eliminating risk to the operator.

In common with the Mistral 2000 series there is a wide range of adaptors to suit the needs of most laboratory applications for this type of centrifuge. Should there be any tubes or containers that cannot be accommodated by the standard adaptors, please contact SANYO Gallenkamp for advice as it may be possible to produce special adaptors.

For those who require higher 'g' forces than those available with the swing-out rotor, there is a choice of three high performance angle rotors including the 4 x 50ml with sealed aluminium buckets.

CENTAUR 2

The Centaur 2 is designed to be a rugged no nonsense versatile bench top centrifuge. It can take a wide range of accessories and is ideally suited for use in clinical, educational and industrial environments.

Easy to use.

Speed setting and reading with the Centaur 2 could not be easier. Simply set the timer, adjust the speed and that’s all there is to it. Once the speed has been set, it can been left in the same position for repeated runs. A wide removable bowl facilitates both easy access and cleaning.

Comprehensive range of accessories

There is a wide range of accessories available to run on the Centaur 2. They include 2 swing out rotors and 2 fixed angle rotors with a wide range of buckets and adaptors to take virtually all tubes from leading manufacturers. In addition, there is a microtitre rotor to encompass the increasing amount of work involving the use of microplates.

THE NEW MICRO CENTAUR

  • COMPACT SIZE
  • CONVENIENT TOP MOUNTED ROTOR
  • TIMER OR 'PULSE' OPERATION

The Micro Centaur is a bench top machine designed specifically for centrifuging small capacity tubes up to 2ml. Its small size and light weight make it ideal for transporting by hand, and using in laboratories where space is at a premium. With its variable speed and space-saving dimensions, the Micro Centaur is ideal for hospital and research laboratories, and for applications such as amino acid analyses, enzymatic, biochemical and immune assays, and for the separation of physiological fluids. With its innovative Top Mounted Rotor, the Micro Centaur provides unsurpassed access for loading, unloading or cleaning. This will be most appreciated when working with toxic or Bio-Hazardous materials. If spilled, these materials will not enter the centrifuge but remain in the rotor, which is removed easily for autoclaving.

MISTRAL 6000

The microprocessor controls of the Mistral 6000 allow the operator straightforward operation via the numeric keypad to set parameters such as speed, temperature, time, brake rate and acceleration rate.

Microprocessor control brings another major unique advantage to the Mistral 6000 - automatic rotor identification. This system automatically recognises the rotor when it starts rotating. As rotor dimensions are permanently stored in the memory, the operator can obtain a direct reading of RCF at any time during the run. Rotor identification means that it is impossible to overspend the rotor: an important safety feature as it prevents any rotor being overstressed.

The rotor identification system also allows the operator to use the integrator which translates the centrifuge's force reading and the time of the run into 'g' seconds. This allows greater accuracy for run to run reproducibility.

The Mistral 6000 is driven by a 1.5kW brushless induction motor which is both quiet and reliable. The top speed attainable is 6000rpm which gives a 1 maximum RCF of 7004g.

MSE have always had an enviable reputation for their bench top centrifuges and the HARRIER 15/80 continues the tradition. This new centrifuge is designed for routine laboratory use and has the additional facility to be able to spin a 24 place micro-chemistry tube rotor at high speeds. It represents excellent value for money in terms of performance, ease of use, safety and reliability.

Automatic rotor identification system

The HARRIER 15/80 continues the MSE tradition of incorporating automatic rotor identification. This important feature ensures that the centrifuge recognises the rotor in use and prevents it being used beyond its safe maximum speed.

Microprocessor controlled induction drive

The HARRIER 15/80 utilises an induction motor for maintenance free long life operation. This motor has no carbon brushes so not only is there no need for routine maintenance but there is no build up of carbon dust inside the centrifuge. This makes it ideal for use in clean environments. Microprocessor control ensures accurate operation for run to run

High speed microtube rotor

The use of the induction motor provides another benefit in that higher speeds can be achieved. This allows the HARRIER 15/80 to have a maximum speed of 15,000 rpm with the 24 place microtube rotor. This in turn produces a maximum RCF of 20,1259.

Wide range of accessories available

For routine benchtop work, the 4 x 200ml swing-out rotor and 200ml sealed buckets are available. These, combined with a wide range of adaptors, can accommodate most manufacturers tubes. As well as the swing-out rotor, other angle rotors and specialist rotors are available. Please see tables for details.
